Chapter 1: A Moment of Realization

It dawned on me, just in time, that I am replaceable. Upon this realization, I made the difficult decision to sever ties with both a job and friends who had been significant to me for 26 years. This turning point occurred on December 31, 1999, and since then, I’ve embraced the life of a solopreneur.

Since taking that leap, I've never looked back, finding safety in my choice to be brave when I feel fear, grateful when I experience loss, and joyful even in moments of regret.

Throughout the 24 years that followed my departure from traditional employment, I explored various avenues for earning income. However, it became clear to me that pursuing money was not my true calling—unless, of course, I joined the ranks of counterfeiters or national banks. Hence, I resolved to earn my living authentically. This led me on a rollercoaster ride—from living a seemingly charmed life to struggling to meet my obligations, and eventually back to a life surrounded by angels, muses, fairies, genies, family, and friends, allowing me to view myself with kindness once more. Soon, I will be moving into a new apartment in the town where I was born.

Reflecting on my journey, I realize that I will never replicate the profound experience I had in 2016. Eight years ago, I not only acknowledged but truly understood for the first time that a word is simply a word, a revelation that came long after I uttered my first.

As the saying goes, the rest is history.
