Embrace Fear and Take Action: My Journey on Day 3
Written on
Chapter 1: The Networking Adventure
On the third day of my Zero-Fear Challenge, I attended a networking event for the first time. I had no idea what to expect, but I certainly didn’t anticipate the experience I encountered.
The event was hosted by a company dedicated to helping individuals launch their online businesses. Although that might sound dull when described, the reality was anything but. The best word to encapsulate the experience is "magical."
What made it magical was the focus on motivating attendees to become their best selves. We were encouraged to wear our most extravagant outfits, enjoyed uplifting speeches, and even participated in some dancing. In the process, I met several inspiring entrepreneurs and exchanged contact information.
Now, you might be curious why I'm sharing this with you. The reason is simple: this event ignited a surge of inspiration and confidence that helped me conquer any lingering feelings of fear or self-doubt that day. It also led to some significant realizations.
Three Key Insights
This event highlighted the importance of taking small steps daily. Even if your path isn’t entirely clear, it's crucial to make progress toward your goals each day. Opportunities can appear when you least expect them, and being even slightly prepared can make all the difference.
Additionally, it's essential to take larger steps, especially those that intimidate you. For instance, my desire to assist others in overcoming their fears and stepping outside their comfort zones has been a long-held aspiration. Over the years, I've gathered a variety of tools—both scientific and spiritual—that can aid in this journey. My goal is to coach individuals one-on-one and create programs that guide groups through this transformative process.
Despite wanting to pursue this for some time, I never felt ready. However, I’m finally taking the leap to register my own company to turn this dream into reality. It’s a significant and daunting step for me. The lesson I’ve learned from this event is to act even before you feel ready. As Simone Levie famously said, "f*ck it, just do it."
Lastly, the event taught me that fear can often be quite irrational. While it serves a vital function in our survival, it can also hold us back from reaching our full potential. We tend to let fear dictate our actions, preventing us from expressing ourselves and pursuing our dreams. Isn’t that a bit ridiculous?
For instance, we often hesitate to don our most dazzling attire, leaving those beautiful outfits tucked away in our closets for years. Personally, wearing my sparkliest dress for the first time in six years—because I thought it was too much—was a liberating experience. I thought, “This is amazing! Why haven’t I done this sooner?”

Mini-Challenge: Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
I challenge you to take action. Tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this), wear your best outfit—the one that hangs in your closet because you believe it’s too extravagant. The outfit that boosts your confidence and makes you feel incredible.
I urge you to embrace this challenge, regardless of what others might think or what doubts may arise. Break through the walls of fear and self-doubt, and embody your best self. Let’s stop hesitating; let's be bold, step outside our comfort zones, and seize opportunities.
So, are you ready to accept the challenge?
With love,
Jelena
