Chapter 1: The Tab Chaos

If you’re anything like me, your mind is often swirling with countless thoughts and an overwhelming number of tasks. This chaos, which is a hallmark of my ADHD, often manifests itself in my web browser, resembling a digital version of Einstein's famously cluttered desk.

As an English teacher and now a serial entrepreneur, I frequently juggle around ten different windows open on my computer, each containing 15 to 20 tabs. One window might hold research materials for my current teaching unit, while another contains my work email and relevant websites. I also have separate windows filled with intriguing articles I plan to read and a dedicated window for the writing project I’m developing, complete with drafts and resources like my thesaurus. The sheer volume of open tabs can be overwhelming.

This disarray often drove my tech-savvy friends to distraction. I attempted using Onetab, which offered some relief by preventing panic when my computer crashed, leading to the loss of my tabs—this was before I learned about my computer's restore feature. However, Onetab felt cumbersome, and eventually, all my saved tabs vanished anyway! I also tried organizing bookmarks into folders, but that quickly spiraled out of control and didn’t provide the structure I needed.

Section 1.1: Discovering Workspace Manager

Fortunately, I stumbled upon Workspace Manager, a tool recommended to me by an unknown source, for which I am incredibly thankful. This extension has revolutionized how I manage my digital life, making organization straightforward and convenient.

Once installed, you can create groups of related tabs within a window. After clicking the Workspace Manager icon located in the top right corner of your browser (it's a white icon featuring an open book outline with a gold checkmark), you simply name your workspace and save it.

Now, with a single click on the Workspace Manager icon, you can open an entire workspace filled with pre-saved tabs in a new window. No more navigating through Onetab or bookmarks to reopen each tab individually—everything is neatly organized and ready for you!

Chapter 2: Streamlining Workspaces

With Workspace Manager, I’ve created dedicated workspaces for various projects, such as my Etsy store, book writing, Teachers Pay Teachers store, and Medium publications. This setup eliminates the need to keep numerous tabs and windows open just to access critical sites each time.

Adjusting existing workspaces is just as simple. You can add new tabs or remove ones you no longer need and easily resave the workspace with those changes.
