Chapter 1: Introduction to ILLUMINATION's New Curation
Dear Esteemed Readers and Writers,
Today, we present Volume 9 of ILLUMINATION-Curators, featuring a selection of remarkable stories compiled by our dedicated team of 57 volunteer editors and curators from ILLUMINATION Integrated Publications on Medium.com, which is home to over 24,000 writers. This initiative aims to enhance the visibility of outstanding narratives nominated by our passionate contributors.
For further context on the purpose of this collection, please refer to our earlier editions: Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3, Volume 4, Volume 5, Volume 6, Volume 7, and Volume 8. We are excited to share this latest volume with you, and we hope you find it enjoyable.
We are delighted that our special publication, ILLUMINATION-Curated, has been recognized as a significant contributor to the BOOST Program. You can learn more about how ILLUMINATION Publications supports this initiative.
It's important to mention that the stories included in this collection are nominated by our volunteering editors, who are also writers and readers on this platform. Thus, the selected stories reflect a diverse range of tastes and interests.
As a neutral publication, ILLUMINATION cannot feature all one million published stories. However, we are committed to highlighting as many exceptional narratives as possible, drawing from our volunteers' ongoing contributions.
Stories possess the transformative ability to shape a writer's perspective. Recently, our chief editor was inspired by a particular narrative, envisioning the potential impact of more writers sharing their cherished experiences. This is a wonderful opportunity to delve into varied storytelling and inspirations, enriching our platform with diverse voices.
"This collection showcases the power of storytelling and its ability to connect us all."
Section 1.1: The Power of Collaboration
Medium thrives on the vital collaboration between writers and readers, creating a unique environment for both communities. Our editors and administrators willingly dedicate their time to ensure that every writer can express themselves.
Their dedication involves the daily review and publication of stories without any compensation. It is crucial to recognize and appreciate their invaluable contributions as we utilize this service.
By engaging with the content through comments, applause, social media sharing, and following writers, you can significantly uplift these creators. Your encouragement acts as a powerful motivator, inspiring them to produce more remarkable pieces like those featured in this collection.
Out of our 145 volunteer editors, 57 have come together to develop this curation service, aimed at enhancing story visibility. Each curator selects a few stories from their daily reading, which our lead ILLUMINATION-Curators compile into collections for our readers. We strive to maintain a manageable size for these posts by including only a limited number of stories.
In addition, our lead curator organizes these stories into lists, a fantastic feature offered by Medium. When your stories appear in these lists, you can save, share them on social media, and engage with the content to boost its visibility. The curation process is time-intensive, and we appreciate your support as you find the time to engage.
Many editors, including our chief editor Dr. Mehmet Yildiz, also compile lists of stories they have read from our publication. We will include these lists in future collections. Here are some recent curated pieces created by Dr. Yildiz:
- Building a Synergistic Tech, Business, and Leadership Community — Part III
- Building a Synergistic Tech Community — Part II
- Extended Benefits to Write for Technology Hits Publication with New Leadership Commitment
Section 1.2: Addressing Current Challenges
Writers have faced a decline in income during September and October due to fraudulent activities on Medium, as highlighted in a story by Mike Broadly, DHSc, titled "Here’s What Seems to Happen to Medium Last Week."
In light of this, we are excited to welcome new writers who are joining our community today. Let's extend a warm welcome and take a moment to explore their profiles, which we have included at the end of this collection.
Chapter 2: Featured Stories from ILLUMINATION Writers
We believe you will find relevant and engaging pieces in this collection, covering a variety of topics. Our editor and media coordinator Aiden (Illumination Gaming) has kindly compiled a list for easy sharing on social media.
Let’s all engage with this list and spread the word, allowing more readers to discover these stories. This is the essence of our curated lists.
