Earning Insights from My First 100 Stories on Medium

Chapter 1: My Medium Journey Begins
My initial experience with Medium started with a story that, rather ironically, turned out to be my first piece to gain significant attention. Allow me to recount the highlights of my first four months on this platform. Initially, I was casual about it, posting around ten stories and then moving on with my life.
However, four months later, one of those stories unexpectedly gained traction. It was actually my very first post, and importantly, none of my writings had received any promotion from Medium.
The First Semi-Viral Experience
The following month didn’t yield great results, but in November, I stumbled upon a fortunate turn of events: I was accepted into the Medium Partner Program, despite it not being available in my region. (This journey has a bittersweet conclusion, which I will share shortly.)
November was a revealing month, with one of my stories achieving semi-viral status. My earnings were calculated based solely on the last two days of the month, which was when I joined the program.
December: Consistency and Challenges
December proved to be the most stable month for my writing, but since then, my progress has taken a downturn. By March, which was only 24 days in, my performance was noticeably weaker compared to the previous four months, though there were still opportunities for a story to resonate.
The Bittersweet Conclusion
Now, here's the not-so-pleasant ending I hinted at: In total, I've made $656.94 in less than four months since joining the Medium Partner Program. However, I have yet to see a single cent from this amount deposited into my bank account. A quick glance at my earnings summary shows that, while I may eventually receive this money, my hopes are dwindling.
