Chapter 1: The Importance of Timely Action
The phrase "strike while the iron's hot" serves as a reminder to act promptly. It emphasizes the importance of taking immediate steps to achieve your goals. Delaying action often leads to missed opportunities and unfulfilled potential.
For instance, consider a member of my team who wrote a children's book six years ago that remains unpublished. He envisioned illustrations for each chapter but opted to have a family member, still learning the craft, create them instead of hiring a professional from Fiverr. This family member had a passion for illustration but faced health challenges that slowed their progress.
Although my team member wanted to support his family member's growth, this decision led to an unfortunate outcome. Six years later, the book still lacks illustrations, and he has not reaped any benefits from his efforts. While his intentions were good, the result remains the same: no sales and no published work.
The takeaway here is significant. Many individuals have projects that are 70% or more complete yet never see the light of day. They miss out on the potential rewards simply because they didn’t finish what they started. If he had hired an illustrator from Fiverr, he could have enjoyed years of sales from his book.
Time passes quickly. If you don’t act when an idea sparks, you may find that years have slipped away, leaving your project untouched and unappreciated. Whether it's a product you’ve developed or an idea you wish to explore, prioritize its completion to enjoy the benefits it can bring.
If you face obstacles such as time or financial limitations, create a plan to overcome them. If funding is a challenge, consider ways to increase your income or set aside a portion each week for your project. If time is scarce, identify where you can reclaim lost hours or consider outsourcing tasks that are hindering your progress.
The key is to finish what you started. While there’s no guarantee of success, a completed project stands a far better chance than one left unfinished. Even if it doesn’t achieve the success you envisioned, a finished product can still serve other purposes. For example, an underperforming eBook can be transformed into a series of emails, newsletters, or even video content for platforms like YouTube.
A completed project can significantly enhance your life and open up new opportunities.

Chapter 2: Overcoming Procrastination
Another aspect to consider is the financial aspect of your projects. If you're not making progress, you might be missing out on potential income.
